The 2008 Holiday Stroll is Sunday November 30th! Get in the holiday spirit starting at 2:30 pm at The Litchfield Historical Society with old-fashioned games and cider. Catch a horse and buggy ride, and bring the kids to see Santa at the First National Bank of Litchfield offices with free photos, hot chocolate, candy canes, and other goodies. Enjoy caroling with the students from Litchfield Intermediate School and Litchfield High School, and don’t miss the tree lighting at 4:15 pm! The International Mission Gift Shop announces extended Christmas hours. November 28 – December 23 (Tues – Sat), 10:00 am – 5:30 pm; January 2-3, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The shop will close January 3 for the winter. The International Mission Gift Shop is a fair trade shop selling a wide variety of reasonably priced, beautifully handcrafted items from over 30 Third World countries. The shop is a non-profit mission project of the church, designed to give impoverished Third World artisans a chance to help themselves. Flu and pneumonia shots will be offered by VNA Northwest at the agency office, 607 Bantam Road, as long as supplies last. No appointments are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. M-F. The cost is $35 for flu shots and $45 for pneumonia shots. Medicare Part B will cover the cost of these vaccinations.
